They are small portions, and really not all that great. I think I'll stick with the larger meals from REI. The price is comparable and the taste is better.

Mon, June 1, 2009 - 4:54 PMYeah, in looking at the pictures on their website it looked like there wasn't a lot of chow for any serious backpacking. (I mean, either that was a giant hand with a medium sized bowl or a regular hand with a dinky bowl!) Thanks for letting us know though that they're probably not worth it.

Sun, April 12, 2009 - 12:42 PMWhy not just get a good dehydrator and a good vacuum sealer and start drying your own food. Get a good book on it and dry the food you like to eat.
Everything taste good after 3 days. I remember how good the MRE's were in the military after you had been deployed a week. If you saved any and brought them home they were awful.
